This is an older project I normaly don't share, more a time capsule than a showcase. Not on par with my current work, but it still has a place.
This project, in collaboration with the Swiss company Rotho, aimed to enhance the kitchen sink area user experience. It addressed issues in small kitchens affecting physical well-being and the ability to cook together. The ALTO cutting board was designed as a solution, offering ergonomic, stable, and space-efficient features to streamline the cooking process.

In Sweden today, more than 2.6 million people have insufficient kitchen workspace, leading to potential back injuries and fatigue. These issues can have social and personal consequences.
Additionally, due to the competitive housing market, many people reside in smaller homes with compact kitchens. This results in limited kitchen workspace and challenges when multiple individuals attempt to use the kitchen simultaneously.
"It's incredible how good it feels to chop on this board, simply because of the height!"
-Mads Christoffersen, the tallest mate at Umeå University of Architecture
